Needle Roller Bearing

 550.00

In stock

Type: Roller thrust bearing
Load: Very high axial/thrust load; minimal radial load capacity

Cage: Typically steel or brass (depending on series)
Performance: High stiffness, excellent heavy-load handling; best for low–moderate speeds
Construction: Thrust washers + rollers + cage (often separable)
Use cases: Screw jacks, presses, extruders, rotary tables, cranes/hoists, heavy gearboxes
Note: Needs good alignment and rigid mounting surfaces; not a replacement for radial bearings

Needle roller bearings deliver high radial load capacity in a very compact package. Using long, thin cylindrical rollers (“needles”), they provide a large contact area for their size—making them ideal where space is limited but loads are high. Common in gearboxes, automotive transmissions, pumps, and compact machinery.

Key Features

  • Slim profile: excellent for tight housings and lightweight designs

  • High radial load rating: large roller contact area vs. bearing size

  • Good stiffness: supports shafts with minimal deflection

  • Available as drawn cup, machined ring, caged needle bearing, and needle roller + cage assemblies

  • Some versions run directly on a hardened shaft (no inner ring) to save even more space

Common Applications

Transmission and gearbox assemblies, two-wheelers, compressors, power tools, textile machinery, and compact motion systems.

Selection Notes

Confirm shaft hardness if using without an inner ring, ensure proper lubrication, and choose seals if operating in dusty environments. Needle bearings are primarily for radial loads—use thrust needle bearings if you need axial load support.
